These events occur at 11:00 am the first Tuesday of October, November, December, January, and April
Last Opportunity This Season to Attend a DLOG Opera On Tuesday
The popular "Opera on Tuesday" debuted in 1973 and continues to meet the first Tuesday of most months during the opera season. These gatherings offer members and their guests an opportunity to view excerpts from upcoming university musical productions, to hear young singers who are training as opera singers, to learn from informative lectures given by prominent members of the opera world, and to enjoy lunch in the company of other Guild members.

PROGRAM: The ten winners of the Denver Lyric Opera Guild Competition for Colorado Singers where each will sing an aria of their choice and receive their monetary awards.

The 2012 Competition for Colorado singers is just around the corner
The Annual Competition for Colorado singers was formed in 1985 and is held in the spring. Substantial cash awards are given to ten winners, many of whom go on to perform in opera houses around the world.
The Denver Lyric Opera Guild Competition for Colorado Singers is holding the 2012 Finals Competition on Saturday, March 3, 2012, from 12:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Bethany Lutheran 
Church, Dahlia and Hampden. At this event the top ten finalists will be selected for monetary awards. The winners will receive their awards on April 4, 2012, at the Guild’s Opera on Tuesday where they will perform their selected arias for members and guests. This event will be held at the Pinehurst Country Club. The program begins at 11:00 a.m. followed by a luncheon.
The Guild is proud to support the opera scene in Colorado. These awards are made possible through generous donations from Guild members, unaffiliated donors and foundations. Additional donations are always welcome. Cash awards, given over the years, now totals over one million dollars.
Winners of the Annual DLOG Young Singers Competition
The Finals of the 2011 annual DLOG Competition were successfully held on March 19th, 2011. The young singers presented beautiful arias for the judges and the large number of attending opera lovers to enjoy. The nationally acclaimed judges chose the following ten singers to receive monetary awards given by many donors.
