Since 1985, Denver Lyric Opera Guild has presented the Competition for Colorado Singers. This is an exciting event for promising young singers between the ages of 23 and 32. Two separate sets of judges made up of opera performers, directors and/or educators choose a designated number of candidates to whom cash awards are given in order to help these young people continue their careers.

The Annual DLOG Competition is usually held in February and March each year. All competition events are at no cost and open to the public.
The Competition is an exciting event for these aspiring singers and the Guild is proud to provide experience, opportunity and support to so many young Colorago singers.
Competition 2012-13
DLOG also provides grants to Colorado colleges and universities as well as apprentice programs conducted by Colorado's various opera companies. For more information about our grants, please view the grants page.
