Since 1985, Denver Lyric Opera Guild has presented the Competition for Colorado Singers. This is an exciting event for promising young singers between the ages of 23 and 32. Two separate sets of judges made up of opera performers, directors and/or educators choose a designated number of candidates to whom cash awards are given in order to help these young people continue their careers.
Many of our finalists have gone on to grace the stages of opera houses around the world. See our list of Competition winners and our latest award winners.
